Abbey Consort is delighted to announce the programme for our next concert.
From the Baroque to Broadway---Celebrating St. Cecilia and Music.
HANDEL--ODE to ST. CECILIA (soprano: Mhairi Lawson; tenor: Mike Towers)

LETHAM -- Ode to Music.
MacMILLAN-- O give thanks unto the Lord.
BRITTEN-- Playful Pizzicato (Strings).
ABBA-- Thank you for the Music.
RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN-- Medley from The Sound of Music.
TOCH-- Geographical Fugue.
COLEMAN-- The Rhythm of Life.
Ode to St. Cecilia will be the first part of the concert. The second part will
take us from Scotland, through Britten-born on St. Cecilia's Day- and on
to Broadway, with a brief detour to Austria for a piece built entirely on
rhythm, before finishing with the wonderful The Rhythm of Life.
HAWICK - South Church - Sunday 22nd November at 2.30pm (This concert
is under the auspices of Hawick music club and ticket sales will be handled
by them)
KELSO- Old Parish Church- Sunday 29th November at 3.00pm.(Booking
through Abbey Consort in the usual way)
